I like to travel, and have done that for work and for pleasure. I travel alone, with colleagues and with my family. All are different , yet they have a common thread – to enjoy the experience, minimise the stress and get there safely.
I’m a type 1 diabetic, which adds a dimension to all of these adventures but thankfully barely restricts me at all.
I write about how I approach things, the gear I choose to use or take with me, and some of the lessons learned along the way.
As well as the standard planes, trains and automobiles stuff, in my leisure time I’m still moving, driven by some kind of restless need to make progress, but here I choose the self-powered options of bike or boat. Occasionally they cross over – the bike segments of a business trip add another dimension to the clothing and equipment choices.
There is a wrapper for all of this, which is to keep things simple – I try to minimise what I carry and I like simple gear that works really well. As I find things, I will share and review, I may even recommend if I like them a lot.
If any of this strikes a chord for you, then please let me know and share your own experiences with others that find this site site useful or helpful.
